My life insurance cover is due to expire soon, and i just read a fantastic article which has highlighted just how important life insurance coverage is here.

My first policy was a term life insurance package which expires after a fixed term. After this term i have three options; renew my policy, transfer my policy to a new provider, or allow my policy to expire without any form of renewal. The insurance benefit of this was that it kept my premiums low, and offered me a lot of flexibility to allow me to change my life insurance rate in the future if my circumstances change.

Life insurance is particularly important to me because it provides me with peace of mind that any future problems that i have, my standard of living is guaranteed. Indeed, during the Spanish Armada, a beacon chain running from Plymouth to London warned the capital of the arrival of the Spanish ships. The man responsible for the first fixed visual telegraphy system was Claude Chappe, a French engineer who built the system in 1792, the system running from Lille to Paris.
