Recently returning from Berlin I was amazed at how little street lighting there was. I do not mean this in a negative way whatsoever, I absolutely loved the city, I actually thought the minimal street lighting was a good thing. Sometimes the amount of street lighting in certain cities is unnecessary, a waste of electricity I think. So long as there is a sufficient amount of light with which to see, I think that’s enough. Wandering around Berlin, I saw the absence of street lighting as a very good thing. I would not be so pleased with the absence of street lighting if all cities employed gu10 led's, however many do not. I wish London would adopt a similar attitude to Berlin on the matter of street lighting. Let us hope that London either cuts some of its street lights or swaps them all over to LED bulbs.
