My life insurance cover is due to expire soon, and i just read a fantastic article which has highlighted just how important life insurance coverage is here.

My first policy was a term life insurance package which expires after a fixed term. After this term i have three options; renew my policy, transfer my policy to a new provider, or allow my policy to expire without any form of renewal. The insurance benefit of this was that it kept my premiums low, and offered me a lot of flexibility to allow me to change my life insurance rate in the future if my circumstances change.

Life insurance is particularly important to me because it provides me with peace of mind that any future problems that i have, my standard of living is guaranteed. On top of this, it is reassuring because my mortgage will be paid off in the event of my death, meaning that the loves one i leave behind won’t be burdened with the financial implications of my death. It is just such a weight off my shoulders to know that this is all taken care of with one small monthly payment.
